Take time on the Sabbath to discuss the importance of emergency preparedness with family & neighbors. Establish a 3 month supply of water and food and rotate it. Actively participate in all emergency response drills. Maintain a "red file" for your most important documents. Live righteously, practice the welfare principle of self-reliance and build a three to six month financial reserve.

How to Sprout- so easy!




In reference to this weeks EP goal- As you plan on which dressings to store, please think of storing some dressings you may enjoy on a a sprouted salad (JIC no greens are available).
Here is a great video on how to sprout many types of grains and seeds.  Here is a recipe for one salad. 
Winter Sprout Salad
Fresh Winter Salad
1 cup each:
Chinese bean sprouts
Alfalfa sprouts
Spicy sprouts

 
One-half cup each: Mixed sprouts
Sunflower seed sprouts
Wheat sprouts
Cabbage sprouts

 
1 diced red bell pepper
and/or
1 grated carrot
Gently toss all ingredients. Serve with Parsley-Garlic Dressing (recipe at right) or your own favorite dressing.
